I really like Stanley Kubrick. Not in a 5th grade girl crush way, but more along the lines of shit, this man made the most amazing films of our time. I would say this all began when I started my obsession with his works about two years ago. Since then, slowly more and more each day my obsession has grown. It's now at a point where I have decided that he somehow found a way to stop time while watching a film of his. Anyways, it kills me more and more each day that I know I'll never get a chance to see another new film by him. At least there is PT A.

Today I learned that hard work pays off(for me.) And what really makes me stop and think, is that I'm only about 1/8th of the way there.

Terrible that my last post was so long ago, but really what can I do. My list that i started in the last post will be continued some other time(It is much more fun to start a list than to finish it).

Moving on: The Oscars handed out this year definitely didn't reflect the deserved winners. In fact the nominees didn't reflect who should have been nominated. I didn't get to see all the movies i wanted to see, as sad as that may sound. With that statement in mind, here is my official list of the best movies of 2008 Oscar season.

9. The Watchmen Trailer(because it's just that damn good) and Lakeview Terrace

8. Vicky Cristina Barcelona

7. Slum Dog Millionaire(Really good, but at the same time reminded me of a less effective City of God)

6. Burn After Reading (So damn Funny)

5. The Wackness (Great film, too bad no one saw it)

4. The Wrestler

3. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (either you get it or you don't, if you got it, you know what im talking about)

2. Towelhead (I almost had to turn this film off a few times because of how intense it got)

Things that i hate colon The List (10-8)

10. People who do not watch where they are walking- too many times during my day i find myself the victim of a physical interaction with another human being because of their inability to watch where they are walking. My germ phobia makes this increasingly more aggravating I am well over 6 feet and this should not be hard to follow.

9. Those who decide to merge in to your lane, and slow down- really??? double u t f man.

8. Girls between the ages of 12-19- Their your sisters, your cousins, your neighbors, and they are just really really annoying.

First of/at Everything

Today is the First of January. I'm still not quite sure what that is supposed to mean. Anyways, I've recently become obsessed with the works of Martin Scorsese. Just thinking back to Raging Bull is still blowing my mind away. Also i just watched the best damn documentary ever made King of Kong. Check it out.
